Procurement Manager

About the role

The Procurement Manager leads procurement and supply‑chain activities for AA Kenya, the country’s largest automobile association. Reporting to the Director of Finance and Strategy, the role ensures sourcing, contracting and purchasing decisions support operational needs while meeting financial targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies that deliver measurable cost savings.
• Source and evaluate suppliers for quality, price, reliability and business fit.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing and service‑level agreements while protecting the organisation’s interests.
• Manage the full vendor lifecycle, including onboarding, performance reviews, risk assessments and relationship building.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements and audit standards.
• Monitor market trends, supply risks and commodity prices to inform purchasing decisions.
• Oversee purchase orders, inventory levels and delivery schedules to maintain efficient supply‑chain operations.
• Lead, mentor and supervise procurement team members, fostering accountability and professional growth.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce or a related field.
• At least six years of relevant experience in procurement and supply‑chain management.
