Procurement Officer

About the role

The Procurement Officer will lead planning, sourcing, purchasing and stock replenishment for Kijani Holdings' retail outlets. You will drive cost‑effective supplier agreements, optimise inventory investment and ensure compliance with procurement policies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies that support business growth and profitability.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, rebates and supplier agreements to achieve cost savings.
• Monitor procurement spend, ensure purchases stay within approved budgets and identify reduction opportunities.
• Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to maintain competitive pricing.
• Balance stock availability against carrying costs to optimise inventory investment.
• Support gross‑margin improvement through strategic sourcing and vendor negotiations.
• Ensure timely procurement and replenishment of products for all business units.
• Maintain strong relationships with Retail Sales Managers, Shop Managers, Finance and Operations teams.
• Resolve supplier‑related issues that could affect stock availability.
• Participate in annual budgeting and procurement planning processes.

Required profile

• Mid‑level professional with at least 3 years of procurement experience.
• Proven ability to negotiate supplier contracts and manage spend.
• Strong analytical skills for market analysis, budgeting and demand forecasting.
• Experience working in a retail or manufacturing environment.
