Procurement Officer

About the role

We are seeking a Procurement Officer to lead the acquisition of goods and services for our agricultural operations in Naivasha, Kenya. The role focuses on managing end‑to‑end import processes, ensuring timely delivery and cost‑effective sourcing.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee procurement of all goods and services required for agricultural production.
• Manage the full import cycle, from supplier sourcing and documentation to customs clearance and final delivery.
• Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and clearing agents to guarantee smooth logistics.
• Negotiate contracts and maintain strong vendor relationships to achieve best value.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, reports and compliance documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Minimum three years of procurement experience within an agricultural company.
• Proven track record handling import procedures, including clearance, documentation and logistics.
• Strong background in supply chain management and vendor negotiation.
