Procurement Officer – Tendering & Sourcing

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to lead our tendering and sourcing activities. The successful candidate will manage end‑to‑end procurement processes, prepare and submit tender documents, and ensure compliance with public procurement regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full procurement cycle, including sourcing, RFQs, LPOs, and supplier evaluation.
• Prepare, compile, and submit tender documents for both government and private opportunities.
• Search and track new tenders on platforms such as AGPO, MyGov, PPIP, and company portals.
• Maintain supplier databases, price lists, and procurement records.
• Negotiate prices, delivery timelines, and contract terms with suppliers.
• Coordinate with Finance, Sales, and Technical teams to meet procurement needs.
• Prepare weekly procurement and tender status reports.

Required profile

• Diploma or Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in procurement and tendering.
• Demonstrated success in winning government and private tenders.
• Knowledge of the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act (PPADA).
• Membership to KISM is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word).
• Experience using tender portals.
• Familiarity with AGPO, PPIP, and IFMIS processes.
