Product, Communications and Learning Intern

About the role

The Africa Center for Health Systems and Gender Justice is seeking a motivated intern to support product development, communications, and learning activities. This role blends financial‑literacy content creation with storytelling and digital inclusion initiatives aimed at women across Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Support the creation of user‑friendly financial literacy and livelihood learning materials.
• Document stories, case studies, learning notes and programme insights.
• Translate technical concepts into accessible language for women, partners, donors and community audiences.
• Assist with user feedback on the lending readiness scorecard and FemDigiNomics platform.
• Prepare presentations, briefs, social‑media posts, partner updates and donor‑facing materials.
• Help compile reusable learning resources emerging from the project.

Required profile

• Background in communications, journalism, design, development studies, gender studies or related fields.
• Strong writing, editing and storytelling abilities.
• Interest in women’s economic opportunity, digital inclusion, African language technology and social impact.
• Ability to convey complex ideas simply and respectfully.
