Production & Maintenance Manager

About the role

MSVL Group is seeking a senior Production & Maintenance Manager to lead its wood manufacturing operations in Nairobi. The role combines oversight of production planning, equipment maintenance, quality assurance and safety compliance to ensure high‑quality output and on‑time delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement production plans and schedules, optimizing raw material, equipment and labor utilization.
• Coordinate with procurement to secure timely raw material supply and maintain accurate inventory.
• Lead workshop staff, conduct performance evaluations and promote continuous improvement.
• Head the quality control and assurance committee, enforce standards, and resolve production issues.
• Conduct regular safety audits, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and implement corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering or a related field (advanced degree or certifications a plus).
• Minimum 7 years (84 months) of experience as a Production Manager or similar role in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of wood product manufacturing, including assembly, finishing, packaging and machine operations.
• Proficiency with production management software and tools.
• Demonstrated ability to develop complex production schedules and manage cost‑reduction initiatives.
