Project Coordinator

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is seeking a Project Coordinator to support its Infectious Disease AI and Data Governance portfolio in Kenya. The role will ensure day‑to‑day project activities run smoothly, allowing the Senior Specialist to concentrate on strategic delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update project workplans, timelines and deliverables.
• Provide operational and administrative support to remove bottlenecks.
• Assist with regulatory compliance and data‑governance processes.
• Support dataset expansion and documentation activities.
• Coordinate curriculum development and training sessions for team members.
• Facilitate communication between technical, programmatic and partner stakeholders.

Required profile

• Experience in project coordination or program management, preferably in health or humanitarian settings.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and support senior staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
• Familiarity with data‑governance concepts and regulatory requirements.
