Project Coordinator – Structural Steel Field

About the role

The Project Coordinator will own the overall performance of structural steel projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. You will lead a technical team, manage stakeholder relationships and provide accurate project reporting throughout fabrication, delivery and installation phases.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and monitor all phases of assigned projects, proactively addressing delays or resource gaps.
• Lead, supervise and develop a team of engineers and technical staff, enforcing quality and safety standards.
• Interpret steel erection and construction drawings to guide on‑site technical decisions.
• Administer contracts, track variations, extensions of time and claims, and escalate contractual risks when necessary.
• Manage project budgets, cost reports and flag potential overruns or scope changes.
• Coordinate procurement and delivery of materials, handling lead times and cross‑border logistics.
• Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress, quality and health & safety compliance.
• Provide written and verbal status reports to the Projects Department Manager, highlighting risks and financial performance.

Required profile

• Graduate engineer in Structural, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• 7–10 years of experience in the structural steel field or a similar construction/fabrication environment, managing large multi‑stakeholder projects.
• Proven ability to read and interpret steel erection and construction drawings.
• Sound knowledge of relevant industry regulatory guidelines.
