Project Engineer II

About the role

PC Construction is seeking a Project Engineer II to join its growing Mid-Atlantic team focused on water and wastewater treatment facilities. The engineer will guide projects from bid through close-out, acting as the primary liaison between owners, designers and construction teams to ensure scope, schedule and budget are met.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, distribute and manage bid packages and related addenda.
• Obtain scopes of work and quotations from subcontractors and vendors; perform scope and price reviews.
• Negotiate, prepare and administer subcontracts, purchase orders, change orders and related documentation.
• Coordinate subcontractor meetings, record minutes and maintain communication on scope, pricing and schedule.
• Review owner contracts, design drawings and specifications to identify issues and generate RFIs.
• Prepare change orders in CMiC and maintain contract document logs (drawings, specifications, ASIs, RFIs, submittals, punch lists).
• Generate and manage submittal logs, review submittals for compliance and expedite as needed.
• Update project schedules, verify material deliveries, and process budget changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management.
• Minimum three years of experience directing construction projects and managing financial outcomes.
• Detail-oriented, flexible team player with strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) scopes.
• Understanding of architectural, civil, structural and commercial construction practices.
