Project Manager – Construction Projects

About the role

The incumbent is primarily accountable for the development and construction of assigned projects, including meetinghouses, seminaries, institutes, welfare initiatives and large research & innovation projects. The role requires meeting cost, quality and timeliness objectives while coordinating multiple stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• 30% – Manage service providers such as architects, consultants and contractors to achieve performance standards.
• 20% – Analyze project information continuously to improve cost, quality and schedule outcomes.
• 10% – Support Operations and Maintenance functions by providing construction expertise as needed.
• 10% – Acquire real‑estate properties in a timely and cost‑effective manner to support project schedules.
• 10% – Provide project‑management support to stake presidents, solving problems within established policy.
• 10% – Share expertise with peers to foster professional development.
• 10% – Pursue professional training to enhance competence.

Required profile

• BS or SA degree in construction management, engineering, architecture or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of construction‑field experience (project management, ownership, superintendent).
• Proven leadership, business, negotiation and public‑relations abilities.
• Ability to communicate respectfully with ecclesiastical leaders, real‑estate agents, architects, engineers, contractors, city officials and community groups.
• Strong people‑management skills and capacity to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
