Psychologist – Medical Recruitment Consultant (Remote, Freelance)

About the role

CloserMed is seeking psychologists and allied‑health professionals who are interested in the business side of healthcare to join our start‑up as Medical Recruitment Consultants. Working fully remotely, you will help Canadian healthcare organisations recruit physicians from around the world, directly improving access to primary care.

Key responsibilities

• Develop deep expertise in physician recruitment through structured training and continuous learning.
• Understand candidates’ professional and personal needs and match them with suitable opportunities.
• Build trust with candidates, provide creative solutions, and close placements.
• Support Canadian clinics by sourcing physicians from the UK, Ireland, Australia, the USA and other markets.
• Collaborate with the marketing team that generates candidate leads.

Required profile

• Background in psychology or allied health with an interest in healthcare business.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently in a remote environment.
• Goal‑oriented mindset with a focus on delivering placements each month.
