Quality Control & Regulatory Compliance Supervisor

About the role

The Quality Control & Regulatory Compliance Supervisor will lead the quality governance and regulatory compliance functions for a home and personal care products manufacturer in Mombasa. You will ensure that all products meet Kenyan and international standards and act as the primary technical liaison during audits and inspections.

Key responsibilities

• Lead compliance with the KEBS scheme across all manufacturing operations.
• Maintain an audit‑ready Quality Management System in line with ISO 22716 GMP requirements.
• Serve as the main contact for KEBS, regulatory, customer, and certification audits.
• Oversee water quality monitoring, wastewater testing, and effluent treatment plant (ETP) operations.
• Manage deviation investigations, OOS/OOT investigations, root‑cause analysis and CAPA implementation.
• Support regulatory inspections and certification audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Microbiology, Food Science & Technology, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a busy manufacturing quality control laboratory.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or management role leading laboratory or quality teams.
• Strong microbiology expertise within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in the home & personal care industry is highly desirable.
