About the role
The Quality Control Technician will ensure that dairy processing operations meet the highest standards of food safety and quality. Reporting to the Production Officer, the role involves regular inspections, sampling, and laboratory testing to maintain compliance throughout the value chain.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct quality inspections, sampling, and laboratory tests on dairy products.
- Monitor compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality assurance standards.
- Maintain accurate quality control records and prepare periodic reports.
- Investigate quality deviations and recommend corrective actions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and internal quality audits.
- Perform any other duties lawfully assigned by the supervisor.
Required profile
- Certificate in Dairy Technology or equivalent qualification recognized in Kenya.
- At least two (2) years of relevant work experience in a similar position within a dairy or food processing firm.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
