Quality & Hygiene Officer

About the role

The Quality & Hygiene Officer ensures that all store operations meet internal quality standards and food safety regulations. This role contributes to delivering a best‑in‑class shopping experience by overseeing hygiene practices across the store.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor internal quality and hygiene standards.
• Inspect food safety practices and drive continuous improvements.
• Maintain accurate documentation for quality and hygiene monitoring.
• Conduct annual audits and coordinate corrective actions.
• Ensure proper storage of fresh foods and compliance of storage equipment with health and safety standards.
• Manage waste segregation, storage, and timely removal.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Public Health or a related field.
• Certification in food safety or a relevant qualification.
• 2‑4 years of experience in quality, hygiene or food safety roles within HORECA, government, food manufacturing or horticulture sectors.
• Strong time‑management and communication abilities.
