Quantitative Research Associate – International Development

About the role

Join the American Institutes for Research as a Quantitative Research Associate in Nairobi, supporting International Development projects that generate rigorous evidence for global donors. You will apply analytical expertise to manage data, conduct statistical analyses, and help translate findings into actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Compile and synthesize information through literature reviews and policy scans.
• Collect, clean, and review quantitative research and evaluation data.
• Perform statistical analysis using appropriate software and contribute to the interpretation of results.
• Prepare sections of reports, briefs, charts, and graphs that clearly communicate findings.
• Assist with proposal writing, business development, and donor communications.
• Support project management tasks such as timeline development, meeting coordination, and progress tracking.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of experience, or a Master’s degree, in social sciences or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience with quantitative data analysis software.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
