Quantity Surveyor – Project Cost Management

About the role

The Quantity Surveyor will support the delivery of construction projects by managing costs, preparing accurate bills of quantities and ensuring contract compliance. Working closely with project teams, you will provide financial insight that drives efficient project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare project budgets, cost estimates and detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
• Monitor project costs against approved budgets, identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Conduct site surveys, measurements and inspections to validate cost data.
• Administer subcontractor contracts, process payment certificates and manage variations.
• Produce progress reports, valuation statements and final accounts for clients.
• Support procurement by evaluating supplier quotations and recommending cost‑effective options.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in cost estimation, BOQ preparation and contract administration.
• Strong analytical, numerical and report‑writing abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel
• Knowledge of AutoCAD
• Experience with MS Project

What we offer

• Stipend of KSH 40,000 per month.
