About the role

St. Luke's Orthopaedic & Trauma Hospital is seeking a qualified Radiographer to join its imaging department in Westlands, Nairobi. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality diagnostic imaging services across a range of modalities while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare patients and imaging equipment for examinations, adhering to safety protocols.
• Perform conventional X‑ray, CT, fluoroscopy, C‑Arm theatre imaging, mammography, ultrasound and MRI examinations as required.
• Maintain accurate patient records, documentation and billing for all imaging services.
• Provide emergency imaging support outside regular office hours.
• Collaborate with radiologists to discuss findings and ensure accurate reporting.
• Supervise visiting staff, oversee equipment maintenance, and enforce radiation safety standards.
• Participate in continuous medical education, clinical committees and quality‑assurance activities.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Radiography/Medical Imaging Sciences from a recognized institution.
• Valid registration and practicing license from the Kenya Nuclear Regulatory Authority (KNRA) or equivalent body.
• Minimum of four years’ continuous experience in a busy Level 4 hospital or higher.
• Strong understanding of radiation safety, quality‑assurance procedures and patient care.
