Regional Content Manager – Africa (Nairobi)

About the role

Mercy Corps is seeking a Regional Content Manager to lead field‑based storytelling across Africa. Based in Nairobi, you will bring the new Prosper Global brand to life through compelling, community‑centered narratives and multimedia content.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, capture, and produce high‑quality stories, photography, video, and digital‑first content that support media engagement, fundraising, marketing and brand awareness.
• Plan and coordinate content pipelines with country teams, regional leadership and the Global Photography Director.
• Ensure all content is ethically gathered, strategically aligned and ready for use across earned, paid and owned channels.
• Collaborate closely with the Senior Manager of Regional Communications and other communications specialists.

Required profile

• Proven experience in content creation, storytelling and multimedia production within an international or humanitarian context.
• Strong understanding of how content supports fundraising, communications and brand objectives.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment while coordinating with diverse regional teams.
