Regional Team Leader – Enterprise Technical Field Support, Coast

About the role

We are looking for a Regional Team Leader to oversee Enterprise Technical Field Support for the Coast region. Reporting to the Manager of Enterprise Technical Field Support – Eastern Business Unit Operations, you will manage field engineers and subcontractors to ensure network performance and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Manage field operations within the assigned region to achieve KPI targets such as MTTR, MTTI, MTTS and network availability.
• Supervise contractor activities, including inspection, quality management and safety compliance.
• Prepare and maintain schedules for preventative maintenance, route inspection and security patrols.
• Analyse recurring network incidents and propose improvement plans with relevant teams.
• Maintain constant communication with customers, the Customer Experience Centre and Help Desk, providing updates until incident closure.
• Enforce use of workforce management, ticketing and service delivery tools, and ensure correct safety gear usage.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following HSE, engineering standards, procedures and legal regulations.
• Perform performance management for engineers and subcontractors, tracking individual performance and implementing improvements.
• Assign tasks, supervise work, audit results and correct deficiencies.
• Maintain and update regional inventory of network nodes, customer connections, fiber core utilization and planning for new customers.

Required profile

• Experience managing field operations and technical teams in a telecommunications environment.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with customers, help desk and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to enforce health, safety and engineering standards.

Required skills

• Knowledge of MSAN, FTTx and network switches.
• Proficiency with workforce management, ticketing and service delivery tools.
• Understanding of HSE requirements and proper use of safety gear.
