Reindeer Station Manager

About the role

The Reindeer Station Manager will lead the day‑to‑day operations of the Reindeer Station, a restaurant and bar serving the Diego Garcia community. This position combines hospitality leadership with the unique challenges of an overseas U.S. Navy environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee food and beverage service to maintain high quality and customer satisfaction.
• Supervise a multi‑national team, handling scheduling, training, and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
• Manage inventory, ordering, receiving, and quality control of all supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of equipment and facilities.
• Control budgets, track sales, and implement cost‑saving measures to meet revenue targets.
• Develop promotions, events, and marketing initiatives to boost patronage.
• Address customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally.
• Prepare regular operational reports and ensure adherence to Amentum safety policies.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in restaurant or bar management or a related hospitality role.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven ability to lead a diverse, multi‑national workforce in a fast‑paced setting.
• Strong organizational, time‑management, and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to pass contract medical requirements and maintain required credentials.
• Valid driver’s license, passport (valid ≥1 year), and ability to travel internationally.
