Relationship Manager Custody Services

About the role

The Relationship Manager – Custody Services will be responsible for sourcing, expanding and retaining client relationships to grow market share and profitability for KCB Group. The role focuses on delivering high-quality custody services, ensuring compliance, and driving revenue through effective client management.

Key responsibilities

• Source, expand and retain existing client relationships to increase market share and profitability.
• Achieve assigned financial and business growth targets.
• Maintain customer satisfaction, retention and identify repeat and new business opportunities.
• Manage existing client portfolio through continuous reviews and needs identification.
• Provide account information, address client queries and facilitate problem resolution with specialized units.
• Conduct contract review and negotiation with current and potential clients.
• Prepare tenders and presentations for potential business opportunities.
• Ensure client KYC/AML documentation is up-to-date and manage associated risks.
• Attend client meetings, AGMs, new business pitches and deliver presentations.
• Collaborate with client investment committees and fund secretaries to strengthen relationships.
• Submit custody reports within SLA timelines and resolve audit matters.
• Oversee billing and collection of revenue for custody services rendered.
• Uphold high integrity and ethical standards.

Required profile

• University degree from a recognized institution.
• Capital Markets Program certification, minimum CISI-1.
• Five years of banking experience, with at least three years in relationship management within investment or custodial services.
• Strong banking operations knowledge and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent emotional intelligence, persuasion, management and communication skills.
• Strong organisational and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Creative approach with ability to anticipate challenges and develop innovative solutions.
