Relationship Manager – Trustee Services

About the role

The Relationship Manager – Trustee Services will act as the primary point of contact for trust clients, beneficiaries and related stakeholders. You will provide expert advisory support on trust structures, manage the full client lifecycle and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main liaison for trust clients, offering advice on fiduciary services and trust structures.
• Own onboarding, portfolio reviews, billing, collections and ongoing relationship management.
• Execute trustee duties such as distributions, reporting and record‑keeping in line with trust deeds and KCB policies.
• Maintain up‑to‑date client and beneficiary information to support prudent fiduciary decisions.
• Conduct compliance, KYC and AML reviews and resolve any issues promptly.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure audit readiness.
• Identify new business opportunities in collaboration with Retail and Corporate Banking teams.
• Prepare periodic portfolio, client and management reports and facilitate trust meetings.

Required profile

• University degree in Law, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Banking or equivalent.
• CISI (Wealth Management) or CIFA certification.
• Five years’ experience in trust administration, private banking or wealth management.
• Five years’ experience in client relationship management and business development.
• Five years’ experience with investment, pension and insurance products in the Kenyan market.
• Knowledge of trust law, succession planning, fiduciary responsibilities and relevant regulatory frameworks (RBA, CMA, IRA, Trustees Act).
