Remote Backend Developer – JSON Schema Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Developer with deep expertise in JSON Schema to join a global technology leader on a contract basis. The position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to build reliable data models and APIs.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain JSON Schema definitions for API contracts and data models.
• Validate JSON Schema compliance for inbound and outbound data across microservices.
• Collaborate with frontend and backend teams to integrate schema changes without disrupting existing workflows.
• Troubleshoot and resolve schema‑related issues in production environments.
• Optimize schema performance and ensure alignment with evolving business requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience with JSON Schema specification and validation tools such as Ajv or JSON Schema Validator.
• Strong background in RESTful API design and implementation.
• Solid programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript and familiarity with Node.js or Express frameworks.
• Understanding of data modeling concepts for both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
