Remote Consultant Radiologist (Part‑time)

About the role

Africa Telerad is seeking qualified teleradiologists to join its growing network. This fully remote, part‑time position allows you to interpret medical images for hospitals and clinics across Kenya and the wider African region while working from any location with reliable internet.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret X‑rays, ultrasound, CT scans and MRI studies via the AfyaRad platform.
• Produce accurate, comprehensive radiology reports within agreed Turnaround Time (TaT) targets.
• Maintain compliance with medical, ethical and professional standards.
• Participate in peer‑review sessions and quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Provide on‑call or shift‑based coverage to support 24/7 service delivery.
• Ensure strict confidentiality and data security for all patient information.

Required profile

• MBChB/MD with a specialization in Radiology (MMed Radiology or equivalent).
• Current, valid medical license to practice radiology.
• Minimum 4 years post‑qualification experience in a hospital or private practice.
• Proficiency in interpreting a wide range of imaging modalities.
• Comfortable working with digital PACS and teleradiology systems.
• Strong written communication skills in English.
• Reliable internet connectivity for remote work.
• Sub‑specialty expertise (e.g., neuroradiology, musculoskeletal, chest, paediatric imaging) is a plus.
