Remote Part-Time Cyber Security Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Cyber Security Analyst to join a global technology leader on a part‑time, remote basis. You will help protect critical infrastructure and sensitive data by monitoring security events, investigating incidents, and strengthening defenses.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security events from SIEM platforms, firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems.
• Investigate security incidents, assess scope and impact, and determine root causes.
• Implement and maintain security controls to mitigate risks.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and recommend remediation actions.
• Prepare detailed incident reports with findings and recommendations.

Required profile

• Proven experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk or QRadar.
• Strong knowledge of network security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools like Nessus, OpenVAS, or Qualys.
• Understanding of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage time effectively.
