Restaurant Hostess – Guest Relations

About the role

The restaurant at Gem Forest MGallery Hotel Collection is looking for a friendly and attentive Hostess to welcome guests, manage reservations and ensure smooth seating operations. You will be the first point of contact for diners, creating a positive first impression and supporting the dining team.

Key responsibilities

• Answer telephone calls within three rings using proper salutations and etiquette.
• Record, confirm, and communicate restaurant reservations, cancellations, and special requests.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date reservation book, pre‑assign tables, and monitor waiting lines during busy periods.
• Greet guests at the entrance, seat them according to the floor plan, and present menus.
• Ensure tables, menus, and the hostess stand are clean, organized, and fully stocked.
• Handle guest inquiries about hotel services and resolve complaints following established procedures.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and coordinate with management to address any issues.

• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Team player who collaborates effectively with restaurant staff.
