About the role
We are looking for a motivated Sales Assistant to join our retail team in Westlands, Nairobi. You will be the first point of contact for customers, providing friendly service and ensuring a smooth shopping experience.
Key responsibilities
- Greet customers, offer assistance, and answer product queries.
- Process payments using cash registers and point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
- Restock merchandise, maintain attractive displays, and assist with inventory counts.
- Handle customer complaints calmly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate price labels and ensure the store is clean, tidy, and organized.
- Participate in in‑store marketing events.
- Develop in‑depth product knowledge to recommend items to customers.
- Ensure the sales floor follows established layout guidelines.
Required profile
- Minimum High School KCSE Certificate.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and exceptional customer service skills.
Required skills
- Point‑of‑sale (POS) system operation.
