Rewards and Organization Development Specialist

About the role

The Rewards and Organization Development Specialist will support Médecins Sans Frontières in Nairobi by designing and managing compensation structures, driving organization design initiatives, and providing workforce analytics. This role combines expertise in rewards, workforce planning, and change management to enhance employee performance and organizational effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain reward and compensation frameworks, including salary grading and benefits.
• Lead organization design projects, workforce planning, and analytics to align talent with strategic goals.
• Facilitate change management and competency‑based performance management processes.
• Execute cross‑functional projects and support large‑scale transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate with HR partners to ensure compliance with labour and employment law.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Studies, Psychology, Humanities, Organization Development or a related field.
• At least three years of experience in a People & Culture role with a focus on rewards, compensation, organization design, or workforce analytics.
• Experience with Hay grading methodology or similar tools is an advantage.
• Previous work with Médecins Sans Frontières or other humanitarian NGOs is a plus.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of French or a third language is beneficial.
