Routine Immunization Coverage & Equity Consultant (UNICEF Roster)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking experienced public‑health professionals to join a roster supporting Routine Immunization Coverage and Equity. The consultancy runs from 17 September 2026 to 30 August 2029 and is primarily remote, with possible deployments to multiple duty stations as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct robust Coverage and Equity Assessments (CEA) to map immunization gaps and identify drivers of zero‑dose and under‑vaccinated children.
• Integrate gender analysis with equity findings and propose targeted interventions.
• Support planning for Gavi‑eligible countries, incorporating CEA and gender insights into situational analyses.
• Monitor zero‑dose implementation (ZDIM) and use data for adaptive management.
• Provide technical guidance on addressing inequities in remote rural, urban poor, conflict‑affected, and ethnic minority settings.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in public health, epidemiology, or a related field.
• Proven experience with immunization programs, equity assessments, and gender analysis.
• Familiarity with Immunization Agenda 2030, Gavi strategies, and UNICEF’s global health frameworks.
• Experience working in low‑ and middle‑income country contexts, including conflict or remote settings.
