Sales Administrator

About the role

The Sales Administrator will support the Sales & Marketing Manager and the wider sales team to achieve cash‑flow targets and ensure prompt handling of customer queries. This role is central to maintaining Ardagh’s position as the preferred container glass supplier in Eastern Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Grow sundry revenue streams and generate quotations for existing and potential customers.
• Process customer orders, track delivery status and prepare pre‑shipment & commercial documents for export sales.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly sales performance reports.
• Update customer stock spreadsheets and share them with stakeholders.
• Attend to sales enquiries, follow through to conclusion and coordinate with warehouse, QA and logistics for stock availability and dispatch.
• Maintain and share a weekly Pending Delivery Summary with customers.
• Support the sustainability of all management systems within the area of jurisdiction.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a business‑related field; professional marketing qualification is desirable.
• At least three years of experience in a busy commercial environment, with two years handling customers.
• Strong attention to detail, results‑driven mindset and passion for customer service.
• Ability to build and sustain interpersonal relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SAP for order creation, billing and delivery.
