About the role
The Sales Assistant will work on the shop floor of Baltic Textiles in Westlands, Nairobi, providing friendly and efficient service to customers. This full‑time position requires a proactive attitude in a fast‑paced retail environment.
Key responsibilities
- Greet customers, answer product queries and guide them to merchandise.
- Process payments using cash registers or point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
- Restock shelves, maintain visual displays and assist with inventory counts.
- Handle customer complaints calmly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate price labels and ensure the sales floor follows layout guidelines.
- Keep the store clean, tidy and organized.
- Participate in in‑store marketing events and promote product knowledge.
Required profile
- Minimum High School KCSE Certificate.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong organizational and detail‑oriented skills.
- Effective communication and exceptional customer service abilities.
Required skills
- POS system operation.
- Cash handling.
