Sales Clerk

About the role

The Sales Clerk will support the Sales Manager in processing orders, coordinating deliveries and handling export documentation. This entry‑level position is based in Thika and offers the chance to develop sales and logistics skills in a fast‑moving manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Open new items in the system.
• Create and process sales orders accurately within required timelines.
• Issue production orders promptly to the production team.
• Plan deliveries and coordinate with dispatch/logistics for timely delivery.
• Process tenders and submit required documentation on time.
• Maintain accurate records and organized filing systems.
• Prepare and file export documents; coordinate with clearing agents and drivers.
• Share export invoices with Procurement for TREO requirements.
• Follow up on customer complaints.
• Prepare sales quotations.
• Participate in monthly stock take and reconciliation.

Required profile

• Diploma or graduate degree, preferably in Sales and Marketing.
• Knowledge in use of systems.
• Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or B2B environments is ideal.
• Familiarity with local geography and neighbouring counties.
• Ability to work under pressure and extended hours.
• Strong attention to detail, honesty and loyalty.
