Sales Executive

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Sales Executive to expand our client base and generate revenue for our freight forwarding, logistics, clearing and forwarding services. The role focuses on business development, client relationship management and market intelligence within the East African trade corridor.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, referrals, cold calling and market research.
• Schedule and deliver client meetings and presentations to showcase our services.
• Prepare quotations, proposals and service agreements and support the achievement of monthly and quarterly sales targets.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients, ensuring high satisfaction and identifying upsell and cross‑sell opportunities.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities and trade flows involving China, India and East Africa.
• Liaise with operations teams to ensure timely service delivery and assist clients in understanding shipping, customs clearance and logistics processes.
• Maintain accurate records of leads, interactions and sales activities; produce weekly activity reports and keep CRM data up to date.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in sales, business development, logistics, clearing and forwarding or customer relationship management.
• Basic understanding of freight forwarding and logistics operations; familiarity with KRA customs procedures is an advantage.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship‑building abilities; self‑motivated and target‑driven.
