Sales Intern – Customer Development (Kenya)

About the role

Colgate-Palmolive is seeking a motivated Sales Intern to join its Customer Development team in Nairobi. The internship offers hands‑on exposure to sales strategy, distributor and retail operations, analytics, and strategic business planning within the FMCG sector.

Key responsibilities

• Support execution of sales strategies that drive sustainable growth.
• Analyze sales performance, identify commercial opportunities, and monitor market trends.
• Prepare reports and business recommendations for the commercial team.
• Participate in customer visits alongside Customer Development Managers to gain exposure to modern trade, general trade, and distributor operations.
• Lead or support strategic improvement projects and present recommendations based on market analysis.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, Logistics, and Supply Chain.
• Engage in structured learning sessions, coaching, and mentorship from experienced commercial leaders.
