Sales Lead

About the role

Powwater is a mission‑driven organization delivering sustainable clean‑water solutions. As a Sales Lead you will own the sales strategy, drive revenue growth and expand access to safe water for communities and businesses in Kenya.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to meet revenue and growth targets.
• Generate, qualify and close new business leads across individuals, businesses and communities, with a focus on high‑value B2B deals.
• Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline, conducting market research to refine approaches.
• Establish and manage strong relationships with clients and key decision‑makers, presenting Powwater’s solutions and ensuring excellent customer service.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to align messaging and campaigns, and report regularly to the Regional Sales Manager.
• Represent the brand at events, community activations and industry functions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, Sales or a related field.
• 5+ years of direct sales experience, preferably B2B.
• Proven ability to generate leads independently and consistently close sales.
• Self‑starter with strong initiative, excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and a deep passion for sustainability.
• Proficiency with CRM systems, particularly Zoho, and comfort using digital communication and productivity tools.
