Sales Manager – Alternative Channels

About the role

Old Mutual is looking for a dynamic Sales Manager to lead its Alternative Channels portfolio. You will be responsible for building and expanding strategic partnerships with micro‑finance institutions, cooperatives, fintechs, professional associations and other non‑traditional distribution partners to grow insurance sales across Life, General Insurance and Health lines.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, negotiate and onboard new distribution partners such as MFIs, Saccos, fintechs and affinity groups.
• Develop and execute sales strategies to increase premium volume, market share and profitability across all assigned channels.
• Maintain a robust sales pipeline, drive lead generation and manage end‑to‑end deal closure for individuals, SMEs and institutional clients.
• Conduct regular business reviews with partners, monitor performance and uncover cross‑selling opportunities.
• Collaborate with product, underwriting, claims, operations and marketing teams to tailor insurance solutions for partner needs.
• Ensure seamless partner onboarding, implementation and ongoing support.
