Sales Manager – Kenya Market Expansion

About the role

MEIDE Group, a global leader in ductile iron pipe and valve manufacturing, is looking for a dynamic Sales Manager to lead its growth in Kenya. You will be responsible for expanding market presence, building a robust customer base, and driving revenue across the water supply, construction, and industrial sectors.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales plans to meet annual targets in Kenya.
  • Identify and acquire new customers, distributors, contractors, and project opportunities.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government entities, utilities, EPC contractors, and business partners.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from specification to order execution.
  • Conduct market research on competitors, pricing, and customer needs.
  • Coordinate with internal teams for quotations, technical support, and timely delivery.
  • Prepare regular sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and market updates.
  • Represent MEIDE Group at customer meetings, industry events, and exhibitions.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of B2B sales experience in construction materials, piping systems, valves, fittings, water infrastructure, industrial or steel products.
  • Proven experience in customer development, project sales, or distributor management.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and relationship‑building abilities.
  • Good understanding of the Kenyan market and business environment.
  • Self‑motivated, target‑driven and able to work independently.
  • Fluent in English and willing to travel frequently within Kenya and neighboring countries.
