Sales & Market Validation Executive – Technology

About the role

The Sales & Market Validation Executive will drive business development and validate product-market fit for a technology solution across Kenya and key international markets, notably the United States. You will combine prospecting, product demonstrations, and market research to build a qualified pipeline and provide actionable insights to the product team.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop potential customers in Kenya and target markets such as the U.S., using calls, email, LinkedIn, networking and referrals.
• Conduct product presentations, demos and introductory discussions with prospects.
• Maintain a pipeline of qualified leads, follow up diligently and work toward agreed sales targets.
• Perform market validation activities to assess demand, pricing, positioning and commercial potential.
• Gather structured feedback from prospective and existing users and share insights with product and development teams.
• Research customer segments, use‑cases and competitor offerings to highlight growth opportunities.
• Develop relationships with early adopters, document discovery conversations and translate findings into product insights.
• Maintain accurate records of prospects, conversations and sales opportunities, and provide regular reports to management.

Required profile

• Entry‑level candidates with up to 12 months of experience in sales, business development or market validation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging prospects and gathering feedback.
• Ability to work independently toward commission‑based performance objectives.
• Interest in technology products and willingness to learn product details quickly.
