Sales Order and Operations Administrator

About the role

Optimise Outsourcing is seeking a Sales Order and Operations Administrator to manage purchase orders and stock‑related administration across multiple business areas. Your attention to detail and strong organisational skills will ensure that orders, deliveries and invoices are accurately recorded and reconciled, keeping operations running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Process sales orders and transfers accurately and timely, either manually or via EDI.
• Manage sales orders from receipt through to delivery or collection by customers or distributors.
• Produce required paperwork, including special labelling and customer‑specific documentation.
• Communicate order requirements and status to sales, warehouse teams in the UK and Europe.
• Check packing lists and issue commercial invoices where relevant.
• Chase and verify goods dispatch notes (GDN) to enable invoice creation.
• Maintain communication with customers and distributors regarding order status and service level agreements.
• Follow up collections from distribution centres.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
• Effective communication skills for liaising with sales, warehouse and customer teams.
• Experience handling paperwork, labeling and invoicing requirements.
