Sales Specialist

About the role

KEDA Ceramics International Ltd is expanding its daily‑use porcelain product line and needs a Sales Specialist to drive growth in the Western Kenya market. Based in Kisumu, you will work closely with the existing sales team to identify opportunities, convert prospects and increase the customer base for ceramic products.

Key responsibilities

• Market and sell ceramic products (plates, bowls, cups, sanitary ware, tiles, etc.) to retailers, distributors and wholesalers.
• Identify, develop and pursue new business opportunities and customer segments.
• Achieve monthly and annual sales targets and prepare quotations, negotiate prices and close sales.
• Conduct product presentations, client visits, market research and data collection.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, customer preferences and pricing strategies.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions and market feedback.
• Coordinate with showroom, warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely order processing and delivery.
• Handle customer complaints, follow up on issues and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Provide regular sales reports and market feedback to management.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years proven sales experience, preferably in the ceramic or related building‑materials industry.
• Demonstrated ability to develop new customers, generate leads and convert prospects into sales.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Self‑motivated, target‑driven and able to work independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience using CRM systems and other sales‑tracking tools.
• Strong data analysis, reporting and market‑research capabilities.
