Senior Assistant Registrar – Grade Thirteen

About the role

The Senior Assistant Registrar (Grade Thirteen) leads the university’s administrative and human‑resource functions, ensuring policy execution and strategic HR planning across Maseno University.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate staff recruitment, appointments, promotions, transfers, discipline and separation processes.
• Plan, organize and administer all human‑resource and administration activities, including policy development and review.
• Develop and monitor human‑resource plans, strategies, budgets and performance‑management systems.
• Interpret labour laws, oversee industrial relations, and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Lead organizational development, job reviews, knowledge‑management policies and mentorship programmes.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Social Sciences or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years at Assistant Registrar level or equivalent.
• Relevant professional certification and registration with a recognized professional body.
