Senior Associate – Trade Operations & Settlements Support (UK Shift)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Associate to support a buy‑side client in the UK shift, handling the end‑to‑end settlement of securities and derivatives. The role ensures accurate and timely processing of bonds, equities, CDS, swaps and futures.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the full trade matching, confirmation and settlement lifecycle for securities (bonds, equities) and derivatives.
• Process and oversee derivative transactions including CDS, IRS, cross‑currency, equity and total‑return swaps, and futures.
• Coordinate with counterparties, custodian banks, prime brokers and executing brokers to achieve timely settlement.
• Investigate and resolve unmatched, mismatched, missing or failed trades across all asset classes.
• Escalate material or time‑sensitive settlement issues with clear status updates and proposed solutions.
• Review trade details, allocations, confirmations, settlement instructions, resets, rolls and maturity events for accuracy.
• Monitor position and cash breaks, perform root‑cause analysis and track exceptions to resolution.
• Handle sensitive transactions, cross‑trades, clearing‑broker transfers and settlement‑funding requirements.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of bonds, equities and listed/OTC derivatives (CDS, IRS, swaps, futures).
• Understanding of trade matching, confirmation, allocation, clearing, settlement and reconciliation processes.
• Excellent analytical abilities to investigate trade, position and cash discrepancies.
