Senior Batch Plant Operator

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Batch Plant Operator to lead the daily operations of our concrete batching plant. The role ensures efficient, safe, and high‑quality production of concrete mixes while supervising the plant team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all batching plant activities, guaranteeing timely and accurate concrete production.
• Monitor and control batching equipment and systems to maintain consistent quality and specification compliance.
• Coordinate with dispatch, quality control, and maintenance teams to optimise plant performance.
• Train, mentor and oversee junior operators and plant staff.
• Maintain accurate production records, inventory logs and daily reports.
• Conduct routine inspections, troubleshoot equipment issues and minimise downtime.
• Enforce safety protocols and environmental regulations.
• Implement continuous‑improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Ensure proper storage, handling and replenishment of raw materials.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in plant operations or engineering is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of concrete batching or related plant experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of batching systems, concrete mix designs and quality‑control standards.
• Familiarity with OSHA and environmental safety standards.

Required skills

• Operating computerized batching systems.
• Using plant automation software.
• Forklift or heavy‑equipment operation certification.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs.
