Senior Batch Plant Operator

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Batch Plant Operator to lead the daily operations of our concrete batching plant. The role ensures efficient, safe, and high‑quality production of concrete and related materials.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all batching plant operations, guaranteeing timely and accurate concrete mix production.
• Monitor and control batching equipment and systems to maintain consistent quality and specification compliance.
• Coordinate with dispatch, quality control, and maintenance teams to optimise plant performance.
• Train, mentor and oversee junior operators and plant staff.
• Maintain accurate production records, inventory logs and daily reports.
• Conduct routine inspections, troubleshoot equipment issues and minimise downtime.
• Enforce safety protocols and environmental regulations.
• Implement continuous‑improvement initiatives to boost efficiency and reduce waste.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in plant operations or engineering is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of concrete batching experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of batching systems, concrete mix designs and quality‑control standards.
• Familiarity with OSHA and environmental safety standards.

Required skills

• Operation of computerized batching systems and plant automation software.
• Forklift or heavy‑equipment operation certification.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programmes.
