Senior Business Development Advisor – Kakuma

About the role

Inkomoko Kenya is seeking a Senior Business Development Advisor to work directly with entrepreneur clients in Kakuma. The role combines coaching, strategic advising, and business assessment to help clients grow their enterprises and achieve their goals.

Key responsibilities

• Coach and mentor Business Associates and Business Development Advisors, reviewing their work to ensure high‑quality client delivery.
• Coordinate BD activities with other departments, develop annual goals, and represent Inkomoko in local business forums and meetings.
• Conduct site visits, client interviews and business assessments, and support the implementation of growth plans.
• Maintain relationships with community leaders, monitor KPIs for supervised locations, and report progress to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in consulting, business planning or providing business advice.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English; Swahili and Turkana are highly desirable.
• Ability to work legally in Kenya and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Entrepreneurship or a related field.
• Demonstrated perseverance, integrity, critical thinking and a collaborative attitude.
