Senior Business Development Manager

About the role

Asopo is looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to own the commercial relationship for its Pulse platform, from prospecting new customers to onboarding, renewal and growth. You will work across multiple African markets, often in both English and French, and collaborate closely with product, marketing and delivery teams.

Key responsibilities

• Run the sales pipeline: qualify inbound leads, prospect outbound, and close deals with heads of credit, operations or founders.
• Partner with Marketing to plan events, create sales enablement assets and shape market positioning.
• Own signed accounts: manage onboarding, renewals, fee negotiations and address performance issues.
• Price platform, per‑account and implementation fees, build quotes and know when to walk away.
• Work with delivery teams to translate customer requests into feasible features and realistic road‑maps.
• Negotiate contracts in French for francophone customers and partners.

Required profile

• Experience in customer success, account management or sales at a software company serving lenders or distributors in Africa.
• Background in credit operations, PAY‑GO field work or banking is a plus.
• Proven track record of closing deals, handling renewals and managing pricing discussions.
• Ability to communicate with both credit committees and field managers effectively.

Required skills

• Fluency in French (negotiation level) and English.
• Strong commercial negotiation and pricing skills.
• Understanding of mobile‑money, core‑banking integrations and PAY‑GO business models.
