Senior Exports Supervisor

About the role

The Senior Exports Supervisor will lead the daily export operations for Africa Global Logistics Kenya, ensuring timely and compliant movement of goods for our clients. This role combines operational oversight, client relationship management and team leadership to drive service excellence and business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily export activities, including documentation, customs clearance, shipping, transport and warehouse coordination.
• Monitor operational KPIs, implement corrective actions and escalate risks promptly.
• Maintain strong client relationships, resolve issues within service levels and support retention initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations, KRA requirements and internal procedures; coordinate bond returns and audit support.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly operational reports and analyse trends for continuous improvement.
• Support business development by preparing quotations, proposals and participating in customer visits.
• Lead, coach and develop the exports team, allocate work, conduct performance discussions and identify training needs.
• Identify and champion process improvement projects to reduce costs and enhance efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in export operations.
• At least 3 years of experience managing export teams.
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan customs regulations and KRA procedures.
• Proven ability to analyse data, produce reports and drive operational excellence.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
