Senior Facilities Manager

About the role

The Senior Facilities Manager oversees the maintenance and operation of multiple church facilities, ensuring they are safe, functional, and aligned with the organization’s spiritual and community objectives. This role leads a team of technicians, coordinates with stakeholders, and drives performance against key metrics.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and schedule the work of technicians, handling work orders, preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Conduct performance reviews, approve expenses, and manage onboarding, time‑off requests, and other HR tasks for the team.
• Develop and execute strategic objectives, ensuring alignment with leadership goals.
• Perform semi‑annual facility evaluations, create annual and long‑term maintenance plans, and conduct property inspection audits.
• Oversee emergency work orders, maintain on‑call availability, and coordinate with the Emergency Call Center.
• Identify, evaluate, and manage vendor relationships, recommending changes when service quality declines.
• Administer the facilities budget in partnership with Operations Manager and other coordinators.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
• Build strong relationships with local leaders, respond promptly to facility requests, and collaborate on training initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a team of technicians or maintenance staff.
• Ability to conduct performance reviews and handle employee onboarding and time‑off processes.
• Experience developing and managing maintenance budgets and vendor contracts.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and regulatory compliance for facilities.
• Availability for emergency on‑call duties and coordination with an emergency call center.
