Senior Learning Officer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Learning Officer to lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of learning and capacity‑development programmes at EIDU. The role will ensure that all interventions are evidence‑informed, scalable and aligned with Kenya’s Competency‑Based Curriculum (CBC) and national programmes such as Tayari and Tusome.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and rollout of learning strategies and capacity‑development programmes that align with CBC and structured pedagogy.
• Develop scalable training models for government officers, teachers and internal teams, including blended face‑to‑face, digital and coaching approaches.
• Oversee the creation, review and quality assurance of curricula, facilitator guides, digital content and toolkits for pre‑primary and primary interventions.
• Design and deliver Master Trainer programmes and strengthen coaching and mentoring frameworks to support classroom practice.
• Conduct capacity‑needs assessments, tailor interventions and promote reflective practice among field teams and government stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain quality‑assurance frameworks to ensure consistent, high‑quality training delivery across the implementation cascade.
• Monitor, evaluate and continuously refine learning programmes to maximise impact.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and delivering large‑scale learning and capacity‑development programmes.
• Deep understanding of Kenya’s Competency‑Based Curriculum and national education initiatives.
• Experience working with government education ministries, teachers and multi‑stakeholder environments.
• Strong analytical and project‑management skills with a focus on evidence‑based outcomes.
