Senior People Partner

About the role

Safaricom is seeking a Senior People Partner to lead strategic HR initiatives across the organization. You will work closely with senior leaders to align people strategies with business goals, driving talent, workforce planning and change management.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with executive teams to design and implement organization design, workforce planning and talent management strategies.
• Lead change initiatives and transformation programs within an agile environment.
• Provide data‑driven insights using workforce analytics, talent intelligence and AI to influence business decisions.
• Develop and oversee talent pipelines, succession planning and employee development programs.
• Ensure HR policies and practices support commercial objectives and compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in HR, organizational effectiveness, talent management or business partnering.
• Proven experience partnering with senior leadership and influencing strategic outcomes.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to link people outcomes to business performance.
• Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM‑SCP, CIPD, HRCI) is a plus.
